Im Back
Im back in manila! I arrived home friday night last week. Since Monday, I never had time to blog because I have so much stuff to do before I go back to helsinki two weeks from now.
Last night I went out with my old ofcmates... way back IDS days. Ate Cha, Ate Jing, HH, Tatay Cis and a friend of his was there. We went to shangrila mall and ate our first dinner at Frio Mixx while waiting for everybody to arrive. We transferred to Dome, still at the shangrila mall. It was fun looking back at our old experiences in IDS. We just missed hanging out and telling stories to each other. I was home around midnight but I slept at 3am. So that means I am already so groggy now because I lack sleep.
Anyways, im still in the office. Ill be leaving anytime soon. Ciao!

Going Home
In a few minutes my airport taxi will be picking me up here at the apartment. I have just finished packing my stuff. I guess I have made a lot of shopping here coz my suitcase is really bulging. I even had to sit on it so i could zip it up. hahaha. anyways, im just hoping to have a nice and safe trip home. I miss home but Ill also miss helsinki. Too bad for me because I had to go to office on monday when actually im supposed to have a one day leave. My team leads are going to a training so they needed someone to watch over the other team members. Goodluck to me! I have to start going down now. Ill really miss helsinki! Bye!

Land of the Vikings
I have just gotten home to the apartment from our weekend trip to Stockholm,Sweden. We left the office last friday around 4pm to catch the train to Turku,Finland. The train was fine. Pretty much comfy for the 3 of us. We arrived Turku around 7:30pm. We immediately headed to the Silja lines departure area. We got our tickets immediately then had dinner at the nearby restaurant. After the nice dinner, we took our bags and went to the ship. Our cabin was on deck10. It was a huge ship and lots of shopping stores inside. There was even a duty free shop in the ship. There's also a sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi, casino, restaurants, coffeeshop, disco and bar. We had a nice time touring the boat even at the topmost deck though it was chilly outside.
We arrived Stockholm,Sweden pier at around 7am. We took a cab to the city center. The cab dropped us off the shopping area of Stockholm. The whole street was filled with malls and stores including branded stores. This is a shopping haven! I would love to go shopping here but I kept on converting SEK (Sweddish Crowns) to Philippine peso so it was still expensive. But at least it was less expensive than in Helsinki. We toured the whole city via bus and boat. We paid for a travel tour inside Stockholm. This country has lots of beautiful buildings and architectures. Sweden is made up of islands interconnected by bridges. they have about 50+ bridges. Chad treated us to 3 sushi bars. I had a taste of different sushis in this place. We also went to a coffeeshop at the shopping center area. We bought some souvenirs and took lots and lots of pictures. I had the grandest time of my life here. I would love to go back to this country.
We headed back to the pier at around 6pm. This time our cabin was on the 5th deck. This ship was smaller compared to the ship we rode that same morning. Punzi and I made some more shopping at the tax free duty free shop in the boat. We ate a little dinner then went straight to bed. We arrived Turku at around 7am. We took the next available train to Helsinki. We arrived Helsinki 2hrs after. Then we went straight home and ate lunch.
I was so tired a while ago that I immediately slept after talking to HH. I had a great time this weekend. I know it will take a long time before this kind of trip can happen again. I have spent quite a lot of money for the trip but who cares?! It was all worth every cent I paid. I wish I can live in stockholm at least for a month. I'd really would love that.

Once upon a time in the West
Yahu! We're going to Sweden on weekend. We just found out that there's a cheaper plane ride goin to Stockholm. It is via Fly My Airlines... The airline company is not popular though that's why it's pretty cheap. Oh well! Chad already paid for the ship cruise online so we dont have a choice now but to take the ship. On the lighter note, riding a boat is a whole different experience than riding the plane.
My flight booking on June 17 has been confirmed. Im leaving Helsinki on thursday. Ill be home in manila by friday. HH promised that he'll pick me up. Im excited to go home but at the same time sad because im surely going to miss a lot of things here.
Chad cooked dinner for us. He made some chili! Chad's chili is far better than wendy's chili con carne. hehehe Btw, i like Chad's cd... Once upon a time in the West. It has some old songs that are really sad.
Im hitting the shower now. til next time!

Hitler's Time
I am in the apartment as usual. It's pretty funny though because when my housemates and I are in the office, everybody's busy tinkering his own pc. Then when everybody gets home, everybody's still busy with his own laptop. Nobody's even speaking to each other unless we need something from someone. We only talk when we're eating dinner. But that does not happen all the time since most of the time we eat dinner in front of our own laptops. Talk about privacy! Nobody bugs each other. Hahaha.
Anyways, my housemates and I are planning to go to Stockholm, Sweden this weekend. But first we have to check if they wont require us to have multiple entry visa's. That stupid Schengen consul in manila gave me a single entry for 30 days visa that's why I can't just go anywhere here in Europe. If I only had multiple entry visa, we might have gone to St. Petersburg this weekend. I hope I wont be spending that much for the trip since I would like to buy a pc when I get back to Manila.
It's still pretty boring here in the apartment. Nothing really nice to watch on the cable tv. We just ate dinner. Of course, being the only girl in the house, I was the one who cooked dinner. Lucky for these housemates of mine since I was trained by my mom to be always neat in my stuff that's why I am cleaning the house for them the past few weeks.
In just more than a week, I will be going home. Ill miss this place... the apartment, the Nokia house, the long walks to the busstop, the chicken dishes everyday, my funny housemates, the loft where I sleep, the cold weather, the luxury cars as taxi cabs, the tram, the subway, the grocery, the expensive ice cream, the buffet lunches.... my list will still go a long way enumerating everything I will miss in finland. Finland is such a wonderful place to live in. The people here are really nice and accommodating just like pinoys. People here are pretty lucky because they dont have to endure living a life of everyday traffic, pollution, poverty and economic instability. If I were given a choice to choose one country besides the philippines to live in, I'd probably choose Finland. This is a great country. I will make sure that I will go back to this place.

Freakin Sickness
My sickness is striking again. Not again! Not when im far away from manila! Not when HH is not here to rush me to the ER! Not when I did not bring enough medicine to last me more weeks! I hope I wont get into pain again.
I miss manila. I miss my family. I miss HH. I miss going to the mall every week. I miss eating pinoy food. I miss my bed. I miss my pillows. I miss everything about home!
