The other week when I just got back from Manila, my boss came over here in Arizona on his way to LA driving his truck. Our conversation went something like this...
Boss: Are you seeing somebody here in AZ?
Me: Nope. I'm not even dating! The other day, the client was browsing through match.com trying to find me a date. And then the other week, my teamlead in *insert client company here* is setting me a date with the bachelor lead of FI team.
Boss: You should date him. It's only a date.
Me: No. I don't want to. He's too old.
Boss: How old is he?
Me: Around 40s.
Boss: *Silence and stares me in the eye* That sounds like me and my wife.
Me: *Changes topic and starts talking about work* =)
My boss' wife was 29 when they got married and he was already 43. Hoookay... too much details can kill. I better learn to shut up sometimes. Haha.

Lol! I'd wanna be there right at the moment of the conversation just to feel the awkwardness. haha
And YES, it does matter if it means 5+ more years of difference.
hahaha. i told you, my boss and i share this non-professional relationship that's why we can talk about anything.
I guess here in the US, they dont care about the age because everytime I mention that I only date men who are from this age to this age, they would always give me a violent reaction. haha. oh well... maybe it's an asian thing. hahaha.
Yeah I'd agree. I guess even here in Singapore I can sense that it is becoming more accepted. I did the same and I got a violent reaction too. lol!
