Pimp Your Ride

I've been doing a lot of googling (is this even a term?!) about forced induction in cars. One of the factors that affect engine performance is the ability "inhale" as much air and fuel mixture into the engine. The more air you can get into the the engine, the better the performance you can get out of it. Much like inhaling air into our lungs, if we are breathing correctly, we are able to run longer without having to stop to catch our breath therefore improving our running performance. This is where the force induction concept came from. Essentially, a turbo unit uses a compressor whose fan is used to pull air on one side and push it to the other. The air is compressed and is sent out to the engine. Turbocharger provides you more power out of a smaller car engine without the added weight and inscreased gas consumption. Turbochargers are more efficient than superchargers because it uses "wasted" energy as its power source.

Not that I am planning to use Kimi (my 2003 Lexus IS300) for racing but I guess pimping him with a turbocharger would be so cool! With all the newly installed speeding cameras here in Arizona freeways, I guess it would be more difficult to do drag racing but who knows right? I might as well make my F1 racing dream come true. Haha. Check out http://www.turbochargerpros.com/ to find the most compatible turbocharger for your car.
