It's literally crunch time at client B these coming weeks. First, because it's end of the year and there are a lot of open projects that need to be completed before the year ends. Second, it's an official no renewal and no more extension for my current contract with client B. This means that in less than 3 weeks, I will officially be on bench!!! Woohoo! Hookay... before I get too excited, let me tell you that it still pains me to leave client B because it's a year-old comfort zone for me and somehow, I already fell in love with the team that I work with. Hayyy... just thinking about how uncertain my 2009 will be gives me a headache. I can't plan anything after january 2 because I am not sure who will be my next client and where will my next project be. This job sucks! Really! This is the reason why having a healthy social life and a flourishing love life is quite impossible for people like me. Hayyy.. Sucks big time!
Anyway, I was talking to an officemate currently assigned in CA for a project and I told him that I am only considering 3 states if they would want me to move because of a project... Arizona, California and Las Vegas. That's it! If they want me to take a project outside of those states, I will demand coming back home to AZ every month. Did I say this job really sucks? Haha.

Buti ka pa you can get assigned to any of the 51 states... ako nga dito, I am assigned to 4... as in 4 walls of this office!

Hahaha. Be careful what you wish for, baka extreme traveling naman ang ibigay sayo and you'll be sorry. Just when I am settled and cozily enjoying a new found comfort, I have to move ulit. Hayyy... In this field, you can't be too attached to anyone or anything for that matter.
Lisa, it is still your choice. And it really depends on your priorities.
The irony in life is that by the time you have focused on your priority, things just happen that makes you want to shift back. Napansin ko lang na mahirap mag change priorities coz you have to leave your comfort zone to pursue something that you want. And when that something that you want keeps eluding you, then though it is hard, mapapabalik ka talaga sa kung saan ulit yung comfort zone mo. Sa case mo, it is your job. Pero kilala kita and I know anong makakapasaya sa yo. Not that you are unhappy with your kickass career. I just know that binubuhos mo sa career mo kasi malalabo pa ang lovelife mo. And I know that's the one that you've been wanting all this time. "All this time..." Parang kanta ng Side A. haha!
Am striking my balance now and I think I have hit my balance on one side na... kulang na lang on the other side... so tuloy di pa balanse! hahaha Same boat na naman.
Sensha na sa mahahabang comment. La na akong magawa dito sa office. 6 days to go bago ako magbabakasyon, so my boss is paying me to keep my chair warm.
Someone's on vacation mode already. Me too... weekend mode na din ako. Bad thing nga lang it's snowing in Vegas right now so I am not sure if we're still leaving tomorrow or if we're still even going this weekend. Kimi's RWD and I dont want to put chains on my tires... masisira ang rims ko. I'm still thinking if I want to get a rental car instead.
Ah I see. If matuloy kay sa Vegas, drive safely. :)
