Tomorrow is supposedly HH and I's 7th year anniversary. He actually called me to greet even if there's no reason for him to greet me. Hahaha. Well, old habits die hard.
*WARNING: MUSHY POST DOWN HERE*
It just sucks when a good person comes to your life but you can't seem to reciprocate the love that that person gives you. You just end up letting that good person go because you feel that there's somebody out there who deserves him more. If I were that selfish, I would have chosen to stay with him but I am NOT. I chose to let him find that perfect person who can make him feel the love and care he gave me. I know that's a lame and stupid reason which I am so sure not everybody will understand. When I met wonderful people out here in the US, I realized that security does not always mean happiness. Yes, he will always be there for me, but does that fact make me happy? Errr... nope! Sadly, it didn't. CONVENIENCE is NOT LOVE. When I met other people out here, I felt I wanted something more that I thought he will not be able to provide. He practically let his whole life revolve around me. And I was so scared to leave him because I didnt want him to ruin his life if I go. That is PITY, NOT LOVE. Knowing the kind of person that I was, I kept my word when I said I will commit to him and did everything to make our relationship work. But after almost 7 years of a monotonously, boring and safe relationship, I finally pulled the plug. Yeah, it took me that long to realize that!
The Fling DID make me feel in love for a short while. I loved it except for the goodbye-i-am-not-ready-to-commit part of it. Hayyyy.... I am still praying and ever hopeful that the RIGHT one will come along. I hope soon!

Habitual Oddity
Aren't you amazed at some odd habits and behavior that we human beings do each day? I just realized I have several of them.
- Driving the car
Every single time that I have to drive myself to anywhere, I have to say a short prayer in the car while holding on to the rosaries hanging in the rearview mirror. And I could not drive without music playing!
- Bathroom cubicles
Here in the office, I only use cubicles 1, 3 and 5. In that order when the first one is not empty. Yeah, I know it's weird.
- Cigarette break
Exactly at 2pm every workday, I get out of my office cubicle to get my dozes of vitamin C. Not in any other time of the day!
- Daily Caffeine
I can never start my workday without having my coffee. It should be 2 cups of brewed *caffeinated puhleeze* coffee with sugar and creamer. I'll be grumpy the whole day if I don't get my 2 cups. It's as if something was wrong with the way I started my day.
- Car locks
I hit the car lock button twice after getting out of the car. Not that it does not lock during the first press. It's just a habit.
Well, to each his own. Some are just eccentric and unique. =)

Twenty Random Facts About Me
I think I have answered a tag similar to this a couple of years back. Well, I guess a lot have changed since then.
1. There are 2 places inside the house that I am overly particular about the cleanliness *and I do mean madudulas-ang-langaw kind of clean*: the kitchen and my bathroom.
2. I do not eat monggo (mung beans) that's made into viand. Even if it's the only food left in this world, I dont think I can ever eat it. The reason behind this huge dislike of this food is that I had a yaya-torture experience with it when I was a kid. I will not elaborate further. I just dont like it, period.
3. I am hella scared of big trucks and buses swerving towards the vehicle im riding on. Well, who isn't? My bestfriend's car where I and my bestfriend were onboard got hit by a huge bus on our way to school in taft avenue back in college.
4. I almost got picked up by an indian guest in a hotel where my cousin used to work in Vito Cruz. I used to go to that hotel after school so that I can get a free ride home with my cousin. while waiting in the lobby, an indian guest approached me and asked me if i could come up to his room. it was scary! this is probably one of the reasons why I dislike them *racist na kung racist!* besides their unwelcoming smell.
5. I dont eat chocolate bars. They say that 99% of women loves chocolates, well I say, I do belong to the remaining 1% who doesnt like it. I still have my dozes of chocolate in the form of cafe mocha, mocha frappe, nesquik cereals, etc. But no chocolate bars for me, thank you.
6. When I was 5, I bumped my head on the bathroom floor and that's how I got this poknat on my head. Maybe this is the reason why i am slightly may sayad! Hahaha.
7. I curse IE in every possible way. Geek! Go Mozilla!
8. I used to have a collection of italian shoes which I have probably used once each. It would make my day just staring at them. And I think this is normal!
9. I keep on saying I hate my job but deep inside I know I love it especially the perks I am getting because of it.
10. I am the eldest of 5 siblings. We're all girls.
11. I love traveling but I really, really hate long flights.
12. Am a proud Lexus owner... and probably the poorest of them all. Haha.
13. Hates packing for a trip. With all my previous travels, I usually don't unpack my stuff from my luggage so I barely have to redo my packing when I go on a trip again. Smart eh?
14. Not a big drinker. I'll probably get drunk after a bottle of beer. I know I'm a cheap date! Haha.
15. Always attempts to quit smoking but was never successful in doing so
16. Pushes herself to her limit... sometimes at the expense of her health, personal and social life
17. Could watch the Food Network channel the whole day... seriously!
18. Big coffee drinker. Could never start my day without it.
19. Hates driving but would drive hundreds of miles just to see friends
20. Loves to cook. I would gladly accept guinea pigs for my edible kitchen experiments. =)

Take Me Away
This song in this exact same version has been playing over and over in my head. And what's funny is that the person that comes to my mind whenever I hear this song is Dee. Hayyy... Am I missing him? I hope NOT! It's probably because he sends religious text messages to me everyday that's why I am reminded of him. Haaaaa! Or maybe because I'll be seeing him again next month for the conference in San Diego? Could be... Yikes! Fine, I'm just probably lonely!
This time, all I want is you... *yay*
There is no one else
Who can take your place *double yikes!*
I am so stopping now! Hahaha. Sorry, my brain is talking aloud again. =) Enjoy the awesome version of this song from Lifehouse.

Who's Your Emergency Contact?
A sis from SFC got into a car accident last week. She was driving from Flagstaff going to her house in Tempe when the car brakes malfunctioned. Flagstaff area is the mountainous side of Arizona which is the same route going to Grand Canyon. Thank God she survived that accident with only scratches and bruises in her arms and hands. The car was a total wreck with nothing left to be salvaged. We were all glad that she was fine and alive.
This incident made me think about how difficult it is to live alone. I was operated and hospitalized once when I was in Helsinki. Back then, I had Chad and Kirt to take me to the hospital. Now that I am living alone, it made me think, what if I get into a serious accident? Who is my emergency contact? Hayyyy... pathetic! I only have my boss *who is also out of the country* to be my emergency contact. I dont have relatives or family members nearby who can help me when I am in big trouble. This is depressing! Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Professional Receptionist Service for $99/mo
Coming from a small to mid-sized company back in Manila had its drawback in the workforce. There are instances that some of the employees had to perform multiple roles in the operations. For example, our executive secretary also performed the role of a receptionist. Having inexperienced people do the job sometimes takes its toll on the quality and professionalism of how the job was done. If you are working with Fortune 500 international and local clients, it is inevitable to give them the best and most professional service as you can. The Incredible $99/mo Receptionist Service does an incredible job in providing your company with the most professional sounding reception service. Three dedicated receptionists answers your calls everyday and transfer your client calls to any US number of your choice. With the $99 monthly fee, a toll-free inbound number will be provided to you to receive calls and faxes. Fax messages are forwarded to you through email. This service is HIPAA compliant which means that all information will be handled with high confidentiality. Voicemails are delivered to your email through .wav or .mp3 format. For a low monthly rate, you can immediately receive a high quality receptionist service. I think this is a great and cost-efficient solution for small and start-up companies who does not want to pay for the salary and benefits of a regular employee. Visit their website to view their Complete Office for $99/mo solution.

Are men intimidated by more successful women?
I was struck by what an officemate here in the client's office told me. We were having a discussion about relationships and dating. This officemate asked me if I am married because for some reason, he got an info that I am already married. And so I cleared up the issue by telling him, I am very much single and not even dating. And so he asked what I was looking for in a date. I told him I want a guy between 28 to 30, just a couple of years older than me. He should be nice and we should have the same values. Anyway, he then told me that I might find it difficult to find a serious guy to date because of the following reasons...
1. I am an accomplished woman at a very, very young age
2. I have a kick-ass job
3. I move around a lot because of my job
4. I earn more money than most men in my age *which I spend mostly in my luxuries -- kimi, shopping, travel...yay! there goes the retirement fund!*
What?! Are you kidding me?! I know that my job has always been a liability to my relationships. But then being successful at my chosen career SHOULD NEVER be a basis for men not to date me. I hope not all men think this way otherwise my lovelife is surely doomed. =(
I worked my ass off getting to where I am now. I have sacrificed so many things just to be where I am at my career. This officemate kept telling me that I should reconsider dating older *as in like mid to late 30's* if I want to find a serious date because he said that accomplished men who won't get intimidated by me would belong around that age group *or even OLDER!*. Hayyyy...
I want to know your thoughts. Is this just an ego-thing for men? Would you date somebody more successful than you?

Waking Up On the Floor
Don't laugh.... I fell off my bed last night. =D Yeah, flat on my back! The last time I remembered falling off my bed sleeping was when I was still a kid. Haha. I know what you're thinking! What the hell was I doing?! Hahaha. No, I wasn't dreaming! None that I can remember. Fyi, I have a queen size bed. I know I move a lot when I am sleeping which is the reason why I am not comfortable sharing a bed with somebody. Hmmmmm... This could be a serious problem when I get married. My future husband might need to sleep in a separate bed unless he wants to get slapped or kicked while he's asleep. Hahaha.
I think I'm going to need either bed railings or surround my bed with thick foam on the floor. =)

North of 101
If you ask anybody in my team here in the office, where is the best place to live in Glendale,AZ, they will unanimously tell you, North of 101. When I first got here in Phoenix, obviously I knew nothing about this city. So where the h*ll is north of 101? Let me give you a little geography of this city. Glendale is on the northwest of Phoenix downtown. It is a city in the Maricopa county. Arizona State Route 101 actually spreads through the north of Phoenix to the south east of Phoenix. Refer to the image below so you'll understand what I am talking about. It's the red line that you can see from the image below.

I have lived in the southern side of Glendale and I am currently residing in the northern side of Glendale which is already part of North Phoenix. Comparatively, if you are a person who doesn't mind seeing a lot of people on the roads, then Southern Glendale would be nice for you. But if you like a more quiet and less hispanic population, then northern Glendale is the place for you. So which one do I like better? I like southern Glendale for its proximity to the airport, to Scottsdale and my awesome 2-bedroom condo before in 47th ave and Glendale Ave. But then since I moved here in Northern Glendale area, I love the peacefulness of the roads, my current area specifically is walking distance to Costco, Target, AMC theater and hospital. My current condo is just 10minutes away from my client's office so it is so convenient for me to stay here.
As what everyone else has been telling me, Phoenix is like a huge suburb. It's so different from other more crowded cities such as New York, LA and San Francisco. If you are used to the hustle and bustle of living in a city, Phoenix probably wouldn't fit your taste. Well, the Manila girl in me adjusted fine here in Phoenix so I guess it's not bad after all. Errr... that is except for the weather! =D

New Home
What the h*ll was I thinking? I still have a lot of pending for approval posts from the other blue ginger blog and I attempted to move that blog to the new domain. Really stupid! Grrrrr!!! After those technical difficulties, I've finally figured out, I will republish this old Blue Ginger blog in my new domain. So this blog will be the new home for more private posts. I know that I will always be tempted to register this blog for sponsored posts *hehe* because it is the sponsored posts that's paying for this domain anyways. Haha. I will try not to publish sponsored posts here. Take note, keyword there is TRY. =)
Anyways, I hope all of my current worries disappear. My issues with work, Kimi, personal life and family is stressing me out completely. Hayyyy.... Woooozzzzaaaaa!
