The special friend is in the Philippines right now for a vacation. Although we've been physically far away from each other since we started this thing between us, it's different when he's in a different continent and thousands of miles away. But in fairness, he still calls me everyday. Awww... sometimes I think he's in love with me. yeah, just sometimes. Whatever this complicated "relationship" we're into, I know if we're meant to be together, God will let things happen.

I can sense the tone of uncertainty. Dunno why, but sounds like "C'est la vie!", "Come what may!", "Jesus, take the wheel"... etc
This past year I also came to a realization that I am not the one who controls my life no matter how confident and on top of my game I am... but He does. I think it's one of the greatest lessons I learned this year... to just surrender everything to Him.
You got that right. I've been living a rather more peaceful life now that I do not fuss as much about controlling the things in life. I guess when we were younger (not that we are old yet) we have that zeal that we can do anything, fix everything and manipulate every...(one).
At this time in our lives, we learned that zeal can lead to very unpredictable results. The trophies and the scars are there to prove it. :p
