My teamlead, the 49yo guy *who has the hots for me..haha* officemate and I were exchanging emails around 10AM this morning. It was about an application I developed for the 49yo guy's project. Well his status follow-up ended with a free sushi lunch next week! Woohoo! It's office conversations like these that make up for the overly stressful deadlines to beat. Check out the email thread below.
From: 49yo Guy
Hi ladies… this is the certified FINAL FINAL word doc that they would like a link on the TCS service.
It should be similar to link for PAY STUB service (upper right corner)

Took A Break From the Rat Race But Now I'm Back
Work is killing me... Seriously killing me! I guess I'm back to the old routine of doing the 8-5 job then supporting other projects 5pm onwards. Sleep is a luxury for me these days and I guess I'll have half of my braincells killed before I reach 50. *Argh!* Although in this economy, I think I should be thankful for still getting projects inspite of the massive cost-cutting measures of my clients. It just means being busy is a good sign that I still have a job in the next few months. Hehe.
In-between work and sleep *or nap!*, I still try to find time to get the h*ll out of my office and apartment *which is basically just an extension of my office. hehe*. When the year started, I was originally aiming to put balance in my crazy life but then I did not expect projects would come pouring in. Even my PM skills were of no use to put a little order in this chaos. Hayyy...
There's only one word to describe my current lovelife... STAGNANT. No progress... not even baby steps. No cheezy bits to share. Pathetic. And this is the reason why I am flying to Vegas next weekend. =)

Detox
Everyday, our body is exposed to a lot of toxins from the food we eat, the air we breathe, and everything that is absorbed by our body. Toxins easily accumulate inside our body without us knowing it and after a while, it causes all kinds of health problems. No matter how careful we are with taking care of our body by taking a bath, brushing our teeth, changing clothes, these are not enough to cleanse the inside of our body. Have you ever experienced frequent fatigue, bloating feeling, unexplainable headaches, constipation, extreme food cravings and skin problems? These are probably caused by those toxins that have accumulated in your body.
DrNatura offers several programs that can flush those toxins out of your body namely Colonix, Toxinout and Kidetox. The cleansing process is made up of several steps. First, toxins are removed from your colon through a herbal dietary fiber. Second, while in the process of cleaning up your colon, toxins should be replaced by good bacteria such as silymarin. Lastly, you need detoxifying herbs, amino acids, vitamins and minerals to continue flushing out toxins from your body. Sometimes, you don't like the taste of fiber supplements. What you can do is to mix this supplement with your drinks such as smoothies, shakes, juices or even mix it with rice, soy and other milk alternatives. Taking fiber supplements affect each person in a different way. Some experience the results within 24 hours while some takes days or weeks. If you are worried that DrNatura might require you to be in the restroom all the time, then you should stop worrying because DrNatura is gentle enough to your stomach. Losing weight is just one of the effects of taking DrNatura. Check out DrNatura's Colon Cleanse programs.

Men Are As Complex As Women
I'm blogging from California at a friend's apartment. I got an odd text awhile ago from Manila... yes, from the special friend. He was asking if he could meet up with my sister in Manila. WTF?!?! And why does he want anything to do with my family now? He is the same guy who said he does not want commitment with me. What's up with the sudden interest in my family?
And so with the sudden urge to ask why, I called him.
Me: And why do you want to meet up with my sister?
Him: So we can talk about you.
Me: What? She does not even know you.
Him: I'll tell her I am your friend. Didn't you talk about me when you were here?
Me: No. Am I supposed to?
Him: Oh ok.
Was I too rude? What's up with you guys?! You tell me that you want to take things slow and not commit but you want to know my family. Duh?! Hayyyy.... You guys are giving me a headache!

Quotable Quote
I joined my team for lunch the other week. One of the single guys from the team ordered his drink...
Guy officemate: One diet coke with a little ice and 6 wedges of lemon on the side.
Female officemate: *stares at him and then speaks* No wonder you're still single.
Guy officemate: What?!
Female officemate: You are high maintenance!
Guy officemate: I am not high maintenance. I just know what I want.
Ngyahahaha. I was laughing upon hearing this and I could not agree more. Being single is a choice. And let me repeat that quote for all those people who are still single BY CHOICE...
Amen?! Amen.

Slow days...
I've been having slow days the past week. Hayyy... Ok... I must admit that since the special friend went to the Philippines, it's been very, very boring that I had to literally drag myself out of bed. Oh well, there's only 6 days left until he comes back. Yehey! But mind you... he still called me couple of times while he was in Manila. He still thinks of me... awwwww....
Now, what should I do when he comes back? I am thinking of flying again to Vegas during the first weekend of February. I know my friends here in AZ would again question me why I am always the one making the move when he's the guy and should be the one to be doing something?! The hell with what other people would think and say... I really don't care. I am just being the forward and showy me. If I like/love a person, I would do everything to let them know that. Life's too short and I don't want to waste my time wondering on the what if's. I am just seizing the day and living my life the way I want to live it. I have definitely learned my lesson!
Busy weekends ahead for SFC. Our new saturday HH schedule sucks! This means I had to sneak out everytime I want to go out of town on weekends. Hayy...

My 2008 Year Ender
I know this is a pretty late 2008 year ender post. But then again, better late than never.
The past year was a whirlwind of new and adventurous things in my life. All things happened for a reason and God let me experience all these things because he wants me to learn and grow. 2008 has been good. Inspite of bad and risky economic conditions here in the US and in the Philippines, I never really felt the crisis. God's been great.
I just want to praise and thank Him for an awesome 2008.
- For allowing me to serve Him and his community through SFC
- For the awesome new friends I have met and old friends who have been my adoptive family the past year
- For a great client here in Phoenix and prolonging my stay here in Arizona. Working with them has really made me feel that I love consulting and being part of their team.
- For allowing me to fall and realize my mistakes
- For giving me enough courage and strength to let go of people who are not meant for me and just letting them find their own happiness without me.
- For buying me temporary happiness... Kimi, vacations, roadtrips
- For allowing me to see and be with my family twice last year
- For giving me an opportunity to put a little balance in my life
- For taking care of my needs and my family's needs back in Manila
- For growing in faith through the 2 CLP's that you've allowed me to serve, the love conference that you've allowed me to attend, and several SFC events in the other states that you've allowed me to participate in
- For just allowing me to survive homesickness and being independent here in Phoenix
- For blessing my friends with their own new families
- For making this special friend a part of my life and for letting him shower me with so much attention and care
- For always keeping me safe and giving me this great life I am always thankful for

Fifteen days to go
The special friend is in the Philippines right now for a vacation. Although we've been physically far away from each other since we started this thing between us, it's different when he's in a different continent and thousands of miles away. But in fairness, he still calls me everyday. Awww... sometimes I think he's in love with me. yeah, just sometimes. Whatever this complicated "relationship" we're into, I know if we're meant to be together, God will let things happen.
