Weebee!

I'm back in Phoenix since last Sunday evening. I had the awesomest time in Las Vegas over the short weekend.

- GG introduced me to his parents as THE ONE. =) I'm so proud of him for stepping up for both of us.
- Spent Saturday afternoon meeting the parents' friends at a retreat. Now it's official! I am doomed if ever I break-up with my GG.
- Served (sort of served) at the ongoing CLP in Vegas. It was fun! An FTW (full-time worker) was also there visiting.
- Late dinner at some tea restaurant at Chinatown. Yummy boba!
- Early morning *as in 8AM* sunday mass with the parents. We came home from the late dinner around 2am already!
- Fastest 3mins shower to make it to the mass
- Brunch at the nearby pub. Steak and eggs for only $6!
- One on one with the mom for nearly 3 hours after finishing the packing. I thought I was gonna die.
- Taho dinner at home before my flight back to Phoenix

It was a great weekend. The best thing of all... I survived it!!!

In Manila...

Battling jetlag! I'll be here for a week then head back to Las Vegas then back to Phoenix on Sunday evening. Long flights, backache, leg cramps... ugh! This one week here back home should be worth it!

The Doctor

After 4 days of playing doctor with my dying HDD, I was able to recover most files. More importantly, the installers that I have kept in that HDD... the very important MS Office installer! OMG... I swear, I am going to make copies of this installer somewhere. Lesson learned, always keep backups of your HDD somewhere... it doesnt matter where it is but just make a backup. Also, does anybody know how I can get past through windows security for Vista? I have files on my dying HDD desktop but couldn't access it as a slave drive because it says I am unauthorized to view the files. Argh! Need more research to hack into that.

Anyways... I am counting the days until I come home to Manila. I am not exactly the most excited person to come home because of the many issues that I have to deal with here in the US. I don't know... I just hope I can really afford staying in Manila for a week. I know work will pile up as soon as I am gone... something I wouldn't look forward to when coming back here. =(

Compare Web Hosting Providers

I consider myself a budget blogger. What I meant is that if I can find free providers for what I need to put in my blog, or at the very least, the cheapest possible provider for the services I need for my blog. Like for instance, when I was looking for a web hosting provider for my blog, I chose a provider that can give me unlimited free space, unlimited traffic, unlimited domain names and with the price that is less than $20 a year. Websites such as Web Hosting Geeks is a very useful site whenever you want to do a comparative study of which hosting provider that is most fit for your needs. If you are budget conscious blogger like me, you would probably want to visit the Best Budget Hosting section of this site. This site gives you a comprehensive but very informative description of the web hosting provider, their reasons why it is the best rated web hosting provider, features that the web hosting provider are capable of and a review of other users who recently subscribed services from that web hosting provider. It also gives you a list of other awards that the web hosting provider has received from other review sites. Where else can you find a site like that? Check out some of the articles related to web hosting, current news, CMS or content management system, among many others from their blog site.

Dell XPS M1530 Bluetooth Problem

My HDD crashed last Friday. =( I know that I abuse my laptop so much but then this is the first time that a laptop finally gave up on me. So last Saturday, after not being able to sleep the night before because of thinking too much about how to recover my files, I went to Frys Electronics to get a new HDD. I got myself an upgrade... 320GB Seagate 7200rpm SATA instead of the usual 5200rpm hdd that originally came with my dell baby. Install was going well until I stumbled upon a non-functioning Dell driver! Ugh!!! The bluetooth driver that was posted on the dell support website does not work. It just kept prompting me to press Fn+F2 or press the Wifi/bluetooth button on the right side of the laptop which did not do anything. Finally, this morning after getting enough sleep and regaining my ability to think again, found this bluetooth patch from the dell forums.

Yep, this one did the trick!!!! Yehey! Hope this helps.
